Founded by Glenn Moser in 1959 on the site of the Greater Wilmington Airport, the Reproduction Center, Inc. (as it was originally called) specialized in blueprinting, offset printing, and drafting supplies. Shortly after relocating to Churchmans Road in the mid 1980s, the Janis Family purchased RCI and transformed the business into a leading blueprinting and short-run copy shop. In the decades to follow: offset printing was replaced by digital black & white and color printing, the darkroom was converted to a 200 sq ft computer lab, diazo was replaced with high-speed engineering printers and scanners, wide format color capabilities were added, booklet printers were installed and an on-line planroom was developed. Today, the President of the Reprographics Center, Michael J. Janis, Jr continues to expand the scope printing services in response to client needs and technological advances.
